2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Is Ready to Beast
It’s 2017, and after a long wait, every vehicle in the Jeep brand’s portfolio has a Trailhawk trim. We’re not just talking about recent vehicles like the Renegade and Cherokee, but mainstays like the Grand Cherokee as well (the Wrangler doesn’t need one, since it was built for anywhere a road isn’t). Today, we’re going to explore the abilities of the newest one: the 2017 Compass.
The Compass Trailhawk arrives ready to beast straight from the factory. To accomplish this, the Jeep brand has tweaked it from its mainstream version with a total 8.5 inches of ground clearance that enables a 30-degree approach angle and 24-degree break over angle. Powered by a 180 hp 2.4-liter inline-four, and offering Selec-Terrain traction control, it’s got all the tools you need to crawl rocks, blast through rivers, and take on pretty much whatever mother nature can throw at it.
